Seawall Project Open House tonight

Tonight’s event is family-friendly and you’re encouraged to drop in for just a few minutes and help design a seawall that supports and protects Seattle’s waterfront, including critical utilities, transportation corridors, recreation and tourist destinations, and thousands of businesses and homes

Location: The Seattle Aquarium, 1483 Alaskan Way
Date: Wednesday, January 19, 2011
Time: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (public drop in)
  • Take a virtual walk along the waterfront to explore options for the seawall.
  • Understand how the seawall project is coordinating with the Central Waterfront planning process and the Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacement Project.
  • Meet the project team.

Your input will help the Elliott Bay Seawall Project team develop alternatives for the seawall. If you can’t make it tonight, you can also call or email your ideas to us.

Email: seawall@seattle.gov
Call: Stephanie Brown, Project Manager at 206-386-4635

All comments are welcome, but the project team is especially interested in hearing your thoughts on:

  • Potential construction of the seawall
  • Future seawall alignment
  • Potential habitat/recreational opportunities
